After a careful study and a detailed recovery of ancient recipes, starting from 2016 Distilleria Marolo in Alba gave the brand Domenico Ulrich a new life. The Ulrich company was established back in 1854 by botanist Domenico Ulrich. It was one of the first in Italy to specialize in processing aromatic herbs on an industrial scale, using only Piedmont and Italian-grown raw materials. It soon became one of the leading companies in the field of medicinal herbs. Its products, herbal extracts, infusions, amaro liqueurs and syrups were appreciated throughout Italy.

VERMOUTH DI TORINO, PIEDMONT’S SPIRIT.

Vermouth di Torino is made following a specific disciplinary standard that was made official in 2017 to distinguish and create value for the distinct qualitative and taste profile of this world-famous vermouth. All of Marolo’s Vermouth labels comply to these standards, and in many cases extend beyond them by keeping to the principles set out in the original recipe, formulated by Domenico Ulrich in 1854.

A Recipe of Love.

Only wines from Piedmont, burnt sugar done according to the antique methods for Rosso and Rosso Superiore, Artimisia from Piedmont, and extracts from local plants and herbs: it is this love of research and the tradtional liquors of the Savoys that makes Vermouth Dottor Ulrich the perfect bottle to rediscover the true flavour of the Belle Époque.

Amaro Ulrich will be produced by the Marolo Distillery in Alba, in the heart of the Langhe, in accordance with the international art of liqueur making. The elegant Italian vintage-style bottle comes in a simple presentation box that allows the consumer an immediate visual and tactile approach to the product.
